Spotlight Moments
This month brought so many amazing partnerships, wins, and new opportunities to Charles City County public Schools. Highlighted to the right and below are some of the amazing "In the Spotlight" moments for October.
Welcome new SBO Student Representative Kierra Jones
Held our Read with Malcolm Assembly at CCES- Thank you to Quick Start Children of VA, Malcolm Mitchell and Team, and Senator Lachrecse Aird.
Ms. Banks put on an amazing lesson for students that got them engaged with writing
CCPS attended the Chickahominy Fall Festival and POWWOW
VTEC- Virginias Tribal Education Consortium.
Marching Panthers took the wins this month with competitions and trophies to bring home
Our CCHS Panther Football Team had their first home win since 2019
CCHS took home some amazing scholarships from their Infinite Scholars program visits
Community members and our CCPS staff/students participated in the Suicide Walk

Spotlight Moments
The month of November was full of culture and spirit with the recognition of National Native American Heritage Month. The following are our spotlight moments for November in Charles City County Public Schools:
We enjoyed the kickoff of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Event
Atom building took place in Ms. Harrods Class
Celebrated our CCHS students with our Homecoming Dance
Native American Heritage Month was celebrated with a Native American Presentation for Students at both CCES and CCHS
Veterans day was observed by honoring our very own CCPS Veterans along with all of those who have sacrificed and dedicated themselves to our Nation.
