Chair, District 2 Member
In 2019, Mr. Rodney Tyler was elected to serve as the school board representative for District 2. Upon taking office, he was elected to serve as School Board Chair. Mr. Tyler has always had a care and compassion for working with kids. In his earlier work experience, he was blessed to become the Fatherhood Specialist for the Williamsburg James City County Community Action Agency Head Start program. He has worked with the youth department at his church, Parrish Hill Baptist Church in Charles City, and was named director for Vacation Bible School in 2019. Currently he is working as the HR Assistant for LaTienda Inc. in Toano, VA. Mr. Tyler and his wife Felicia moved their family back to his wife’s hometown in Charles City in 2014 and are the parents of 5 children. Mr. Tyler is originally from Williamsburg, VA, and a 2002 graduate of Lafayette High School.
