Dr. Dalphine A. Joppy is passionate about leadership development. She draws upon 28 years of experience as a public school educator – teacher, staff development specialist, assistant principal, principal, and director of professional and organizational development. Dalphine currently serves as the superintendent for Charles City County Public Schools and is an adjunct professor for The George Washington University.
Having done extensive work and research in the fields of communications, leadership, and principal socialization, Dalphine holds a doctorate degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies and an Education Specialist degree in administration and supervision from The George Washington University. She obtained her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Norfolk State University.
Dalphine is also an avid promoter of life and civic development. She is deeply committed to serving in her church and community. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Toastmasters International, and is an instructor for Leadership Training International. She serves on various Boards and committees that support the betterment of youth, educators, and citizens at large (e.g., Garden of Hope Community Development Corporation; Mothers and Autism Meetup, Inc., The George Washington University Educational Leadership and Administration Advisory Board).
