Helpful Tips for Parents Setting Up a Powerschool Account:

  1. Powerschool is a tool CCPS teachers and administrators use to track student grades and attendance.  Did you know parents can also create powerschool accounts to track their child’s grades and attendance? 

  2. If you do not already have a Parent Powerschool account, you’ll want to click ‘create account’.  Once you have created your account, you can connect your child to your account using the confidential ID and temporary access password in the Powerschool Parent Access letter.

  3. If you already have a parent powerschool account and you’d like to add additional children to your account, you can log into your current account and in ‘account preferences’, you can ‘add student’ using the confidential ID and temporary access password listed in the Powerschool Parent Access letter.  

  4. If you already have a Parent Powerschool account, but you don’t remember your password,  you can click ‘forgot username or password’.  

  5. Within Powerschool, you will be able to set up notifications regarding your student's grades, assignments, and attendance.
