We’re excited to share some amazing news from the 15th Annual RVA Infinite Scholars College Admissions & Scholarship Fair held at Main Street Station in Richmond! Our Charles City High School students showed up, showed out, and walked away with major scholarship offers from North Carolina Wesleyan University! 🎓💙💛 ✨ Peyton Englehart – awarded $20,000 per year ✨ Naomi Haskins – awarded $18,000 per year ✨ Makayla Trull – awarded $15,000 per year We are so proud of these scholars for representing CCHS with Panther Pride and excellence! 🐾 Their hard work, preparation, and dedication are paying off as they take the next steps toward bright futures in higher education. 🎈🚗 STEM in Action! 🚗🎈

Check out Mrs. Rigney’s brilliant 5th grade students putting their engineering hats on with a hands-on balloon car experiment! They are designing, testing, and redesigning — building cars powered by nothing but air.

🛠️ What’s happening here?

Students are exploring force, motion, and friction as they experiment with balloon propulsion

They’re learning the scientific method: hypothesizing, testing, refining

Collaboration is key — teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking in full swing

💬 “If the car veers off course, how can I adjust my design to make it go straighter?” — one student’s evolving question mid-experiment

This is what inquiry-based learning looks like in real classrooms: messy, curious, iterative, and full of “aha!” moments.
