Happy Thanksgiving Charles City Public Schools Family! Today and every day, I am so very thankful for the incredible support of our school community. From our dedicated, diligent teachers and staff to our absolutely amazing parents and local community members, every one of you plays a critical role in helping our students develop and succeed. I am also thankful for our awesome CCPS students!
During this Thanksgiving break, please take time to pause, connect with family members and friends, and appreciate the bonds that make our school community strong.

Students in Mrs. Taylors'/Mr. Washington's 7th Grade Life Science class got to extract DNA from a strawberry with our ITRT, Mrs. Delzer. Students are learning about DNA and how it is involved in Genetic Engineering, and our genes.

Mark your calendars for another EXCITING CCPS EVENT! Join us on December 12 from 5:30-7:00pm for our 1st Merry Math Night! There will be fun math activities fit for all ages headstart through 8th, Hot cocoa and cookies!

This is a reminder that Fall Retake Picture Day is tomorrow, November 14th. Make-up photos are for students who missed the original Picture Day or need a retake due to any issues with their initial photos.

On November 19th, CCHS will recognize our students for the 1st 9 weeks Student Achievement Award Ceremony!

Red Ribbon Week Success at CCES!





CCES has been super busy with our spirit weeks! We had an amazing Red Ribbon Week, and a fabulous Quarter 1 Awards Ceremony! Many more photos to come, and a HUGE shout out to everyone that participated and showed their spirit!






The Indian Parent Committee will hold an in-person meeting this Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the Charles City High School media center at 6:30pm. Light refreshments will be available.

Kindness week starts next week, and we want to invite everyone to take part in a challenge. See the flyer below for our ES challenges. Make someone's week an amazing one, and fill your own bucket while you are at it!

Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 - SCHOOLS CLOSED FOR STUDENTS
On Tuesday, November 5, schools and offices will be closed. Teachers and staff will observe an asynchronous, Virtual PD Day.

On Friday, October 25th, Head Start and Pre-K students and their families celebrated Pumpkin Day. Students enjoyed listening to a great fall book, completed a pumpkin name craft, planted pumpkins seeds, and picked a pumpkin to take home with them.
It was a beautiful Fall Day!
